Terms of Use

Last updated 24 September 2026

These terms apply when you use Math Games on iPhone, iPad, Mac or the web, and if you buy the optional Math Games Pro subscription. Please read them. By using Math Games you agree to them.

Who we are

Math Games is made by Playtests (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at playtestsco@gmail.com.

Who can use Math Games

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the law where you live.

Accounts

You can play without an account. Some features, such as Friends, Challenges and keeping your progress across devices, need one. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly at playtestsco@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Playing fairly

Math Games is meant to be a friendly test of your own mental maths. You agree not to:

  • use bots, scripts, calculators or automated play to get scores, or otherwise cheat in a way that affects other players;
  • choose a username that is offensive, hateful, misleading, or that impersonates someone else;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other players through Friends or Challenges;
  • use Math Games unlawfully, or to harm others;
  • try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
  • reverse engineer, copy or scrape Math Games except where the law allows.

We may remove a username, reset scores, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Math Games Pro subscription

Math Games is free to play. Math Games Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that adds extra features, currently custom practice, practice from your missed questions, weak-spot stats, hints and solutions without ads, and extra streak freezes. Features may change over time.

  • Plans and price: Pro is offered monthly or yearly. The exact price for your country is shown in the app, in your local currency, before you buy.
  • Free trial: the yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be charged the yearly price. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in the app under Settings → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds: purchases are made through Apple, so refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
  • Restoring: Pro is linked to your Apple ID. You can restore it on another device with Restore Purchases in the app.
  • Price changes: if we change the price, we will follow Apple's rules, which may require you to agree to the new price before it applies to your subscription.

Ads

Math Games shows optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch to get a hint, solution, refill, extra life or streak restore. Ads are never required to play.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you submit, such as your username. You give us a licence to host, process and display it as needed to run Math Games, including features you use such as showing your username and challenge scores to friends.

Our rights

Math Games, its name, logos, games, designs and code belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Math Games as intended, and nothing more.

Apple, Google and other services

If you use the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement for licensed apps also applies, and if it conflicts with these terms on a point it covers, Apple's terms apply. Apple is not responsible for Math Games or for providing support for it. Third-party services we use, such as Apple, Google and RevenueCat, have their own terms and privacy policies.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Math Games reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, games and modes.

Learning results

Math Games is designed to help you practise mental maths. How much you improve depends on you, and we do not promise any particular result.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, Math Games is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms affects legal rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.

Limit of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Math Games is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending your use

You can stop using Math Games at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or where needed for security or legal reasons. Parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, will continue after your access ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using Math Games after a change, you accept the updated terms.
