A library you browse, not a game you open

Math Playground's actual product is the directory — hundreds of small games sorted by grade and category, so the real first step every visit is deciding which one to click. That's a fine model for a kid exploring, and a lot of what's in there isn't really about arithmetic speed at all; it's logic puzzles and strategy games that happen to live on a math site.

Math Games has exactly four named things, each built around a specific skill — Race for speed, Math Grids for logic, Countdown for focus, Puzzles for reasoning — so there's no browsing step. You already know which one you want before you open the site.

No version of you exists on their site

Because there's no sign-in and no account anywhere on Math Playground, there's also no persistent "you" — no history, no streak, nothing that remembers yesterday's visit. That's a deliberate, frictionless choice, and it costs nothing to use.

Math Games keeps that same no-account option for actually playing, but adds somewhere for progress to live if you want it: a streak, and a Stats page comparing this week's accuracy and speed with last week's — optional, not required to play a single round.
